"Is this a turkey cutlet?"
See? I told you that these posts would be more regular now! You're so pumped, aren't you? Well, buckle up, cause it's gonna be a crazy ride!
So. Tonight was our weekly Wednesday dinner night. We ate turkey and mashed potatoes. Exchange from dinner:
M- "But what does SWAK mean?"
A-"It means sealed with a kiss. You just asked that like two minutes ago."
M-"But it's someone's name? That's why you signed it on the letter?"
L-"No. It means sealed with a kiss. We wrote SWAK and then we kissed the letter. Get it?"
M-"Yes."
A-"Do you really get it now?"
M-"No I do not, I was just saying that. Explain it to me again."
Do you ever get the feeling that you are living the same day over and over again? Like a hamster on a wheel? Or like Maryam with her questions?
A few nights ago, Maryam decreed to me, "dude, I'm gonna make our log famous." I wasn't quite sure what she meant by this, but, hey, I'll take it. So, are we famous yet Maryam?
What else has happened in rear land...
I need to get my wisdom teeth pulled. Adrienne worked out today. Maryam sent a kid on timeout for over fifteen minutes. We enjoyed the Chronicles of Narnia rap. I keep turning the fireplace on and they keep turning it off. Um, hello ladies? It's winter!
Maryam just cleaned the living room. It smells like someone just chopped down a lemon tree.
Has anyone read the book The Things they Carried? There is a really significant part involving a lemon tree.
It's so nice to be an encyclopedia of literary knowledge!
Over the weekend Adrienne and I planned out a few parties that we are going to have in the rear. One is a St. Patricks Day party. That will be fun, but what we are really looking forward to is...The Prom!
Yes, that's right, we are throwing our own prom. And it is going to be fabulous. Our favorite idea for a theme so far is "Dreams Come True."
Because, I mean, let's face it, dreams really do come true!
Look at me, it has ALWAYS been my dream to live with Maryam. I mean, MAN, I am so lucky! I see her eat. I see her sleep. I even saw her brush her teeth the other night!
It just doesn't get any better than this!!!!!!!
Adrienne shouldn't feel left out by those last couple lines. I've lived with her before, so the excitement is not quite so great.
Sometimes though, and only sometimes, I have to stop and ask myself. What did a gal like me do to deserve a gal pal like her?
WOW. My roommates are great!
One thing before I go:
M-"Get your feet off of the floor. Can't you see I'm trying to clean??"
L-"Gosh, Maryam, I sure am sorry! Want me to help you?"
M-'Yeah, like I need your help. If I gave you the broom you wouldn't even know what to do with it."
A"Sit down Lindsay. You can't do anything right."
L-"Why are you guys so mean to me?"
M-"Shut up. Why don't you go cry about it to your blog?"
Good idea.
